Free, Easy-to-Use Image Viewer

ERDAS ER Viewer is a free, easy-to-use image viewer that enables you to interactively roam and zoom large JPEG 2000 and ECW files. It can also read most other common file types. ERDAS ER Viewer also lets you embed large geospatial images in your Microsoft Word documents.

ERDAS ER Viewer prints to common large-format printers, and supports the following file formats:

  • JPEG 2000
  • ECW
  • Universal Data Format (UDF) images
  • ER Mapper images
  • TIFF and GeoTIFF images
  • SPOT View images
  • Esri BIL (ARC/INFO and ArcView) images
  • Smart Data ER Mapper algorithms
  • National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF)
  • ArcInfo ASCII Grid (ASC)
  • Portable Network Graphics (PNG)

GeoMedia Viewer is a free GIS application for displaying, analyzing, and printing map data. It is intended to be a low-cost, easy-to-learn application for viewing map information created and formatted using GeoMedia or GeoMedia Pro.

As a viewing and analysis tool, it allows you to unite geographic data from different sources, in different formats, and with different map projections into a single environment. GeoMedia Viewer lets you perform simple queries on spatial and attribute data from various sources, and produce numerous views of highly sophisticated maps in a single GeoWorkspace. Furthermore, it gives you the capability of printing those map views.

ERDAS IMAGINE is the full released product that includes all three tiers of ERDAS IMAGINE, IMAGINE Photogrammetry, ERDAS ER Mapper, and most associated add-ons. This installer does not include the following ERDAS IMAGINE add-ons: ATCOR, IMAGINE Toolkit, and IMAGINE Defense Productivity Module.This installer does not include the following IMAGINE Photogrammetry add-ons: ORIMA and PRO600.

To evaluate the product, please request an evaluation license from your sales representative or regional distributor.

You must install ERDAS Foundation first, before installing ERDAS IMAGINE. The latest service pack is cumulative of all previous service packs, and may be downloaded after the initial release is installed and licensed.


The ERDAS Extensions for ArcGIS 10.8.1 installer contains Image Analysis for ArcGIS, Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS,ERDAS Terrain Editor for ArcGIS, and FeatureAssist for ArcGIS. The installation menu permits you to selected the desired component. All installations of the ERDAS Extensions for ArcGIS on a given machine must be the same version. This is a comprehensive release so previous versions must be fully removed prior to installation. Please see the Release Notes for more details.

Downloads : Photogrammetry

IMAGINE Photogrammetry is a separate bundle which contains a complete suite of photogrammetric production tools for triangulation, generating terrain models, producing orthomosaics, and extracting 3D  features. It supports panchromatic, color, and multispectral imagery with up to 16 bits per band. Projects can be completed in hundreds of different coordinate systems and map projections.

IMAGINE Photogrammetry maximizes productivity with automated algorithms, fast processing, and a tight
focus on workflow.

IMAGINE Photogrammetry is integrated into the ERDAS IMAGINE 2018 Software, however, to use the Photogrammetry functions you will require a license for IMAGINE Photogrammetry.
